Case Study
Norwegian Cruise Line Studio
Forced Downtime
When the pandemic shut down the world and all travel was stopped, Norwegian Cruise Lines was sent reeling. Together, VIVA Creative and Norwegian pivoted from a canceled event in Italy to designing and building a full-production recording studio at the Norwegian’s corporate campus in Miami. Its primary and immediate purpose was to eliminate travel whenever there was a need for a shoot, however, the studio has been such a hit that it will continue to serve as a state-of-the-art facility long after the pandemic.
Innovation Baked In
To bring this studio to life, VIVA drew upon our deep experience building production studios at events all over the world for high-profile clients. We designed the NCL space to be easily rearranged into multiple configurations depending on what is being filmed that day. The studio is equipped with full studio lighting, high-speed internet, universal branding plates, a genuine marble bar, a 175-inch hero monitor, a 98-inch monitor, and three 65-inch monitors.
Messages Received
Since completion, the new studio has allowed CEO Frank Del Rio to speak on Good Morning America and other national programs. NCL and VIVA have been producing high-quality content from sales leadership talks and team engagement sessions, to global town hall meetings and special holiday messages ever since.
