AIPAC VILLAGE INTERACTIVE INSTALLATIONS

Building Community Through Hands-On Discovery

Annual conference for citizen-based lobbying group with more than 3 million members

At the AIPAC Policy Conference, the Client event and VIVA teams recognized an opportunity to extend the reach of general session remarks; a place where attendees could engage in deeper dive conversations with Members of Congress, thought leaders, fellow members, NGOs, and other organizations. At an event of this scale, organizers also had the challenge of feeding over 18,000 guests and entertaining them between sessions over three days.

VIVA collaborated with AIPAC to create AIPAC Village, an immersive festival-style setting where delegates learn more through interactive activations, satellite stage Ted Talk-style presentations, and more. 

Having become a cherished part of the conference, "The Village" has evolved to include lobbying training, networking, educational sessions, receptions, concerts, film festivals, and more. The Village has also included artists in residence, large format art installations created by guests, AR and VR experiences, and StoryCorps-style testimonial booths to capture personal stories.

A Distinctly Branded Approach

Annually, Policy Conference planning begins with workshops where the client team and VIVA collaborate on a theme for the year. With a campaign approach, VIVA develops the visual identity and helps tell stories that amplify the theme through printed and digital graphics, video, and interactive installations.

Engaging Wayfinding Strategy

VIVA collaborates with the Client team and partners to develop a wayfinding system that smoothly directs guests from hotels to convention center venues, from off-site hotels to transportation, and throughout the convention center and AIPAC Village.

Emotional Connection Through Thoughtful Design

This conference is all about the relationship between the two countries and reinforces those bonds with architecture, installations, interactive exhibits, hands-on experiences, and more. The focus is on guest immersion within the mission and story.

Breaking the General Session Fourth Wall

One of the most impactful innovations of the Village are the activations created for General Session speakers to bring their stories to life for small groups of guests. In areas uniquely branded for each of their personal stories, we design meaningful experiences for guests to truly engage with them.
